Sheryl Fenderson, a divorced mother of four 

has been parenting alone for 12 years.

After becoming a single parent in 1991 she 

searched for any available resources that were 

geared toward single parent families. 

After searching the central Ohio 

without success, the Lord placed the desire to 

provide services for single parent families 

on her heart.

Since that time she has been dedicated to serving 

single parent families.

In 1998 A Cup of Joy was established. 

A Cup of Joy provides a variety of programs 

and services that are designed with one parent 

families in mind.

Ms. Fenderson feels that providing assistance to 

single parent families is very important because 

although all families face a number of challenges,

 the challenges of single paent families are greatly 

multiplied as one parent struggles to provide

the support, guidance, basic necessities and 

love that was intended to be

provided by a team of two.
