SALVATION STORY
All
of us know about roads. There are long and short roads,
straight and crooked roads, smooth and bumpy roads, and
wide
and narrow roads.
In
Matthew 7:13-14, Jesuscalled attention to a wide road and
a narrow road.
The wide road leads to destruction, or hell.
On this road, Jesus said there are many people.
The narrow road, He said leads to heaven and eternal
life.
There are only a few traveling this road,
Jesus said.
Is
there a choice of which road
a person can take? This question is answered in the
Bible. First, the Bible says,
"For all have sinned, and come short of the glory
of God"(Romans 3:23)
Therefore all persons are ont the
wide road to destruciton because
all have sinned. Eternal hell awaits all
who remain on this road, for the Bible also says,
"The wages of sin is death:(Romans 6:23)
God
has provided a way for us to choose
the road to heaven. the Bible says,
"God commendeth His love toward us,
in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for
us."(Romans 5:8)
You
do have a choice: The wide road to destruction or the
narrow road to heaven. Paul said that we can find the
narrow road to heaven. Paul said that we can find the
narrow road this way:
"If thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord
Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath
raised Him from the dead, thou shalt be saved"
(Romans 10:9)
Will
you choose the narrow road right now?
If so, tell God in prayer that you know you are a sinner,
repent of your sins,
ask Him to forgive you, and ask Jesus to save you right
now.
Then make public your confession of
faith this Sunday in a church worship service.
Jesus
has been waiting just for you, I hope you have said yes
to Him today.
If you have the angels of heaven are rejoicing over you
right now.
"Likewise, I say unto you, there is joy in the
presence of the angels of God over one sinner that
repenteth". (Luke 15:10)
Would you run?
Imagine
this happening to you.
*One Sunday
morning during service, a 2,000 member congregation was
surprised to see two men enter, both covered from head to
toe in black and carrying submachine guns.
One of the
men proclaimed, "Anyone willing to take a bullet for
Christ remain where you are." Immediately, the choir
fled, the deacons fled, and most of the congregation
fled.
Out of the
2,000 there only remained around 20. The man who had
spoken took off his hood, looked at the preacher and said
"Okay preacher, I got rid of all the
hypocrites. Now you may begin your service.
Have a nice day!"
And the two
men turned and walked out.
Funny
Funny how
simple it is for people to trash God and then wonder why
the world is in the condition it is today.
Funny how
we believe what the newspapers say, but question what the
Bible says.
Funny how
everyone wants to go to heaven provided they do not have
to believe, think, say, or do anything the Bible says.
Funny, or
is it scary? Funny how someone can say "I believe in
God" but still follow Satan (who, by the way, also
"believes" in God).
Funny how
you can send a thousand 'jokes' through e-mail and the
spread like wildfire, but when you start sending messages
regarding the Lord, people think twice about sharing.
Funny how
the lewd, crude, vulgar, and obscene pass freely through
cyberspace, but the public discussion of Jesus is
suppressed in the school and work place. Funny, isn't
it?
Funny how
someone can be so fired up for Christ on Sunday, but be
an invisible Christian the rest of the week.
